This is the geography of professional baseball, including all known major and minor leagues in the United States and abroad. Each marker represents the home city of a professional team. We appreciate any and all feedback, but updates will happen sporadically as we find the time! Github
To-do list of improvements to the map:
- Add in missing major pro leagues in other countries, especially Latin America.
- Add in missing minor leagues.
- Add icons distinguishing leages, or where available, teams.
- Add links to wiki page and home page for each team.
- Find way to represent traveling teams.
Much further down the line:
- Realign markers to actual home stadium coordinates.
- Add in time dimension: using timeline, show when clubs form, move, and/or disband.
- Add in historical leagues: Women's, Negro, and other now defunct major leagues
